[The Lohdown] The freshest seafood prepared without need for flair. Simply amazing.

I want to write about this place not because the food was especially gastronomical, nor does the place really require extra publicity with the queue outside the door but it is because I left the place with a full belly genuinely satisfied.

We had spent the entire day lazing about enjoying the sunshine and surf down at the beach. On recommendations from a friend and because we felt like seafood, we decided to try this place.

I would recommend getting there just before 8 as the place opens at 8 and the crowd starts to swell from opening bell. As you walk in you are greeted with a bevy of the best of what the ocean has to offer.

[The Loh Down] No nonsense tasty Italian. Generous portions and decent prices. Great mid week dinner.

Got asked to try friends restaurant tonight. I ordered a grilled sardines for entree and spaghetti al vongole for mains. Dunno if I was just really hungry but I smashed both meals pretty fast. Pretty sure it was cos it was very tasty.

My friends shared the 1.5 kilo t-bone. It was massive. Tastes pretty awesome too.

Good meal with good mates. The waiter was pretty good fun too.

Took advantage of the lovely spring weather and headed out to Greenwich today. My friend took us to this cute little coffee shop in Greenwich. We grazed on a meat platter and ordered some coffees which, not being much of a coffee drinker, was told it was really great coffee.

We'll be back.

Felt like trying a new recipe today and have always wanted to cook a risotto.  This recipe is a combination of quite a few recipes which I have posted links below. The quantities listed will give you a very generous serving for four people.

I'm really blogging this so i can reference in future to make congee.  I always forget the quantities.

This is a dead simple recipe which is great when you feeling pretty lazy to cook dinner but still want something wholesome and tasty.  Its also great to have when you a little under the weather as it goes down very easily when everything else is difficult to stomach.

Today we had a late lunch in Chinatown and figured we wouldn't be very hungry by dinner time.

[The Loh Down]  Amazing steaks, great night out, nuff said.

I'm really excited to blog about this restaurant as the last time I went gave me the inspiration to start a blog about my food experiences here in London.  I especially requested my partner to bring her DSLR on this outing so she could take beautiful shots of all the dishes.

If you have not been here, I would say do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some of the best prepared steaks money can buy.

[The Loh Down] Well presented, good quality Japanese food.  Shame its a little on the pricier side for the serving size.  Can't fault them on service and tastiness tho.

This place is my mate's regular spot for Japanese which i got to sample last night.  With a japanese restaurant, as food can be raw or barely cook, I'm usually after great fresh produce and interesting takes on ye olde favourites.

We ordered agadeshi tofu, beef tataki and chicken kara age to share between us.

[The Loh Down] Good quality Vietnamese in convenient locations for city dwellers.  A nice introduction to Vietnamese food if you are new to the cuisine.

I've eaten here a few times now and the standard that gets put on your table is always great.  I go to the one in Soho and usually on a Friday night we will have to wait for a table.  Not to matter, as we enjoy having a couple of Vietnamese beers at the bar while we wait, generally about 30 mins.

[The Loh Down] If you can take a bit of heat, head down for a merry night of good food and lots of soju!  Dun wear your sunday best as you will walk out smelling a little bbq flavoured :)

I am a big fan of Korean food.  Back home, we associated Korean BBQ with boozey after work Friday drinks, so it can be said, we ate Korean very often.  So last weekend, I organised a big group of my friends to get together for a feed and a bit of a piss up.

[The Loh Down] Get a good group of friends together and grab a feed here to help celebrate a special occasion.  Meal was great and cabaret performers top notch.

So i don't think i would have ever pictured myself going to an establishment that offers a three course meal and cabaret show but it turned out to be a very entertaining night. The six of us went last Thursday using a Groupon voucher.  From the minute you set foot inside, it felt like you were looked after by the staff.
